Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral?
No - we are primary contact practitioners which means you can self-refer without requiring a referral from your doctor.
Why don’t you offer gap-free payments for those with Chronic Disease Management Plans?
Quite simply, because we want to provide you with the best care possible. We are aware that some clinics may offer this, however they are often limited to very short appointments or are treating multiple clients at once. If we were to do this, it would be impossible for us to conduct a thorough assessment and tailored treatment plan, and this would greatly compromise your care and possibly put you at risk. We do not want to be a high-volume, low-quality clinic and we guarantee that if you choose to book with us, you will not be treated as just a number.
Do you do spinal manipulations?
We do not. The current research demonstrates that spinal manipulations provide only a short-lived pain-relieving effect for most musculoskeletal conditions. There is also a very small risk of adverse events. Given the limited time we have with clients, we would prefer to use that time on treatments that have less associated risk and can assist in longer-term gains.
We do perform spinal mobilizations, targeted massage and other manual therapy techniques as adjuncts to exercise therapy.
Do you conduct Home Visits?
We currently do not conduct home visits.
Do you see children?
Yes - we see children from 6 years onwards with any musculoskeletal injuries.
We do not see children with neurodevelopmental or neurological conditions as this is beyond our scope.
Do you see elderly clients?
Yes. We are very experienced with a wide age group of adult patients
What is your cancellation policy?
We know that circumstances beyond your control can crop up at any time, so we offer free cancellation at any time, however we would appreciate you inform us as soon as possible.
